Bridging the Gap in Emergency Care
Ensuring your vital emergency information is within reach when seconds count.
Beyond Awareness: Real-World Safety
In the chaotic moments following a motorcycle accident, communication is often impossible. If you can’t speak, and your phone is locked or damaged, critical emergency details may be inaccessible when first responders need them most. Hit Me Helpers Foundation provides a practical connection between riders, emergency contacts, and first responders when every second matters.
What is a Hit Me Helpers QR Kit?
A Hit Me Helpers QR Kit is a durable, scannable emergency identification system linked to a user-managed emergency profile. As a Virginia 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we provide these kits to help make important emergency details, emergency contacts, allergies, medications, and other user-selected information easier to access during emergencies — without requiring a battery, password, or unlocked phone.
Emergency contacts designated by a user may receive SMS notifications if a QR profile associated with that individual is scanned during an emergency or safety-related event.
Parents and legal guardians may also create and manage secondary emergency profiles for children under a parent or guardian account.
How It Works
-
1
Activate: Create a secure emergency profile and choose what information should be accessible during emergencies.
-
2
Customize: Add emergency contacts, allergies, medications, medical conditions, and other important emergency information selected by the user or managing parent or guardian.
-
3
Apply: Place your weather-resistant QR sticker on the back left or right side of your helmet or another approved visible location for maximum emergency visibility.
-
4
Instant Access: First responders can scan the QR code using a standard mobile device to access the user’s read-only emergency profile in seconds.
